Arsenal and Manchester City are once again challenging for the Premier League title.
The two rivals went toe-to-toe for the top prize in English football in each of the last two seasons, and although the Gunners came close on both occasions, it was City who emerged victorious.
Mikel Arteta will be hoping that third time is the charm, but Arsenal are already two points behind Manchester City and a defeat at the Etihad on Sunday would increase that gap to five.
Gunners legend Ray Parlour has had his say about his old club, and he believes Arsenal are missing one player in their side.
Ray Parlour says Arsenal would win the Premier League if Erling Haaland played for them
Arsenal decided against signing a new striker in the summer.
The Gunners, in many people’s eyes, have needed a prolific centre-forward since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left the club, but for one reason or another, they haven’t brought anyone in.
Arsenal tried to sign Benjamin Sesko but he rejected them and decided to stay at RB Leipzig. He even extended his contract there.
Parlour has now claimed that Arsenal are missing a player in that position before saying that they would probably win the Premier League title if they had Manchester City’s £51 million superstar striker Erling Haaland in their side.
The Gunners icon then suggested Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins to the Gunners.
Parlour said on talkSPORT: “If you put Haaland in Arsenal’s side, they will probably win the league. Don’t get me wrong, they were looking for a striker and for whatever reason, they didn’t get one.
“But yeah, certainly, that is the position where they are probably lacking, a number nine who is going to bang goals in, like Watkins is doing there for Villa, that sort of player.
“Whether they are going to look at that again in January again, we’ll have to wait and see. But, I’m sure Edu and Mikel Arteta knows that if a striker comes up, they’ve to try and go for him.”

Three strikers Arsenal could try to sign in 2025
It really does feel like a new striker is the final piece of the puzzle at Arsenal.
Arteta has world-class players in almost every other position, and if he can add a prolific goalscorer who will guarantee 25 or 30 goals a season, they could become the favourites to win everything.
Viktor Gyokeres is a player Arsenal were linked with, and the Sporting Lisbon star could be an option again. He has had a great start to the season, scoring nine goals and providing three assists in just seven games.
Sesko could become an option again for Arsenal next year. The Gunners’ interest in the RB Leipzig star was genuine this summer, and we won’t be surprised at all if they make a move to sign him in 2025.
Finally, the striker we think Arsenal should go all out for is Alexander Isak. The Newcastle United star is absolutely perfect for the Gunners, and we think he would take the club to a whole new level.
