Rio Ferdinand claims Arsenal’s Max Dowman is one of five Premier League teenage talents who will go on to ‘crazy things’ in their careers.
Dowman is one of Arsenal’s most highly rated talents and has already been given plenty of first-team opportunities, despite only just turning 16.
Imagine it’s the year 2030. How much is Max Dowman worth?
The teenager has already debuted in the Premier League and Champions League this season, and could play a part over the coming months.
Ferdinand has now been speaking about the Premier League’s best youngsters, naming Dowman in that list of exciting talents.
Rio Ferdinand thinks Max Dowman will dominate the Premier League
Rio Ferdinand is backing Arsenal attacker Max Dowman to dominate the Premier League in the very near future.
The former Manchester United defender thinks the teenager will join Rio Ngumoha, JJ Gabriel and Jesse Derry as four of the top youngsters.
“You know the four, right now, if I was going to put money on and going these four, and you know what, it probably won’t even be these four that go and dominate the Premier League and do crazy things,” he told Rio Ferdinand Presents.
“If you were going to put your money on four kids right now, in the Premier League to do their thing, based on what you’re seeing now, you’ve got Rio at Liverpool, you’ve got Max Dowman, you’ve got JJ Gabriel at Man United, and Jesse Derry at Chelsea.”

Oxlade-Chamberlain can't believe Dowman's talent…
Right now, Ngumoha and Dowman are the two most established players from Ferdinand’s pick of the top young talents.
Ngumoha played a key role in helping Liverpool win late on at Nottingham Forest last weekend; meanwhile, Dowman has already shown his ability to handle senior football.
Dowman has conquered youth team football, having netted in each game he has featured in this season.
Max Dowman injury update
Dowman has been sidelined with an injury since the start of December, but the teenager is now close to making his return.
Last week, Mikel Arteta revealed that the teenager was ‘about a week away’ from a return, meaning Chelsea at home could be the game.
However, it’s unlikely that the Gunners will rush him back, given his age and the reluctance to avoid a recurrence of the ankle injury.
