Simon Jordan makes North London Derby claim about Arsenal immediately after Tottenham sack Thomas Frank

Tottenham face Arsenal next in the Premier League, and they’ll have a new man at the helm for the special occasion.

Thomas Frank’s eight-month tenure at Tottenham is over, as the Lilywhites made the decision to call time on the Dane’s career in N17.

It came as no surprise, as Spurs sit 16th in the Premier League table, five points above the bottom three with 12 games to go.

Arsenal players are already previewing the North London Derby, and Spurs will be doing the same, hoping that a new-manager bounce can happen against their title-challenging rivals.

Simon Jordan shares North London Derby prediction after Thomas Frank’s sacking

Frank gave Arsenal fans some great moments, even more than what Spurs supporters received over his eight-month stay.

Now, all eyes are on who Tottenham’s next manager will be ahead of the North London Derby.

The new manager bounce phenomenon has stung Arsenal before, but Simon Jordan doesn’t think a shock is on the horizon when it comes to the upcoming clash between the two rivals.

“Who do they bring in? Someone that’s sensible, I would imagine. Someone that’s going to hold order. They don’t have to race to do it,” Jordan said on talkSPORT.

“They’re going to get pumped by Arsenal, whoever they bring in,” he added.

Jordan then went as far as to say, “They can bring in Klopp if they want to. They’re still going to get pumped by Arsenal.”

Spurs haven’t beaten Arsenal in the Premier League in over three years, and Jordan doesn’t think that a new manager is going to change that.

Mikel Arteta’s record against Tottenham managers

There’s a lot of noise ahead of the fixture, as Tottenham have 12 days to prepare before facing Arsenal, but for Mikel Arteta, it’s business as usual.

Of course, the emotion of the North London Derby makes the fixture different to any other, but for the Gunners’ pursuit of the Premier League title, it’s just another game.

Facing a team with a new manager might make life a bit more difficult for Arteta, planning-wise, but simultaneously, he’ll slyly back himself to beat anyone.

Since becoming Arsenal boss, Arteta has faced five different managers at Spurs, and has experienced a win against them all.

The Spaniard has only lost three North London Derbies in his tenure, the last coming in 2022 when Antonio Conte was in charge.

Whether Tottenham’s next change makes a difference to their North London Derby chances remains to be seen.
