Arsenal fans have their eyes firmly set on the upcoming pre-season clash with arch rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Not only is the game a historic occasion in being the first North London Derby to be played outside of the UK, but it will also be the chance for supporters to see Viktor Gyokeres in action for the first time.
Arsenal confirmed the signing of Gyokeres on a long-term contract and the Swede was unveiled before the Gunners’ 3-2 win over Newcastle.
Gyokeres cannot wait to score goals for Arsenal and his arrival in North London has got everyone talking – including the Prime Minister.

Sir Keir Starmer believes Viktor Gyokeres is the signing all Arsenal fans wanted
UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is a life-long Arsenal fan and has been asked about his thoughts on the signing of Gyokeres.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Starmer has expressed his delight at the club finally ending their search for a striker and now cannot wait for the season to begin.
Starmer stated: “‘I think all Arsenal fans today are going round with a big smile on their faces. This is it, the signing that we wanted and now I can’t wait to see the team starting.”
The 27-year-old forward joins the Gunners having fired 97 goals for Sporting Lisbon in the last two seasons.
Mikel Arteta will now be hoping that Gyokeres can transfer that scintillating form into the Premier League and help guide Arsenal to a first title since 2004.
Viktor Gyokeres cannot be the final piece of the Arsenal puzzle
Whilst there is genuine excitement and optimism around the new campaign as Gyokeres joins five other new faces at the club, Andrea Berta still has work to do.
The Gunners came into the summer window needing a world-class centre forward and an explosive left winger.
Noni Madueke has arrived to primarily provide depth on the right flank, however Arsenal are still looking for that player to provide moments of magic in tight games.

The club are interested in Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, with the player desperate to join his boyhood club.
However, Real Madrid winger Rodrygo is also still on the club’s radar. Player sales now become the priority in order to balance the books before one more big-name attacking signing.
