The Gunners ran out comfortable winners against Ipswich Town in a 4-0 away win.

A number of Arsenal players shone at Portman Road, with Leandro Trossard grabbing a brace and Mikel Merino impressing in midfield.

Gabriel Martinelli’s landmark performance also caught the eye against the Tractor Boys, grabbing Arsenal’s second of the afternoon and becoming the fourth youngest Gunners player to reach 50 goals for the club.

That, however, wasn’t the only impressive Martinelli stat that emerged from the win.

Gabriel Martinelli continues crazy Arsenal stat

After suffering an injury earlier this year, fans think Martinelli is now back to his best, which was again proven against Ipswich.

Martinelli has been key for Arsenal in recent weeks, and it seems like when he plays well, the Gunners often do so – something which has been replicated in the stats.

That is because the Brazilian has never actually tasted defeat in a game in which he has scored for Arsenal, a record which now stretches back a staggering 44 games.

Martinelli is improving in front of goal

Now on seven Premier League goals this season, the Brazilian’s smart finish at Portman Road now means he has overtaken his tally from last season, with five games to go.

Martinelli’s goalscoring numbers had been criticised earlier in the campaign, so Mikel Arteta will no doubt love to see his winger silencing the critics this season.

If the 23-year-old can start to rack up double figures in the league more consistently, it will go a long way in helping ease the burden on Bukayo Saka going forward.
