Former Arsenal star Theo Walcott has debated which options Mikel Arteta could start in his team to face PSG in the Champions League semi-final.
The Gunners play host to the French giants at the Emirates Stadium first, where a healthy lead for either team could set them up nicely for the reverse fixture at the Parc des Princes.
Mikel Arteta does have some team selection dilemmas to ponder over, most prominently in his midfield due to Thomas Partey’s suspension.
However, Arsenal also have a dilemma when it comes to the striker options available, which could prompt some changes.

Theo Walcott backs Leandro Trossard to feature against PSG at striker
There is some uncertainty over the striker situation at Arsenal, following some fresh concerns in that area.
Mikel Merino is a fitness doubt after he was left out to face Crystal Palace due to an unspecified “issue”, as claimed by Arteta.
It remains to be seen whether the Spaniard will be back in time to feature or if, should he return, he will drop into midfield instead.
That opens up a chance for Leandro Trossard, who scored in the centre-forward role in Arsenal’s draw with Crystal Palace last time out.
It prompted plenty of praise from former star Theo Walcott, who hinted at the star featuring there against PSG.
Speaking on Sky Sports, he said: “He’s [Trossard] an important player and underrated in the sense that he might not be in the game, but he can create something out of nothing.
“It will be interesting where he plays, does he start over Mikel Merino [vs PSG?]. He did his job as a striker and got his goal. He’s putting pressure on.”
It remains to be seen if Trossard will be handed that opportunity in the Champions League semi-final, but he is certainly making a case for it as a man in form.

Leandro Trossard’s record as a striker
A versatile squad option, Leandro Trossard has been a useful signing ever since he made the switch from Brighton.
While the 30-year-old may not have the consistency of the starting stars, he offers a clinical edge when in form as well as versatility.
Trossard has largely featured as a left-sided winger, but can also star at centre-forward, where he has made an impact.
| Appearances | Goals | Assists |
|---|---|---|
| 43 | 12 | 11 |
With four goals in his last four, including some of those as a striker, it’s that form which could earn him a place against PSG in an important match.
