Arsenal are preparing to take on Newcastle United in the Premier League.
Arsenal’s new kit launch means the club will wear their 2025-26 home shirt for the first time against Newcastle during their final game at the Emirates Stadium this season.
Mikel Arteta’s side know three points are a must in order to secure Champions League football but have already lost three times to Eddie Howe’s side this campaign, including Carabao Cup semi-final defeats.
Kai Havertz returned to Arsenal training this week and could play some part in the game, whilst Declan Rice could return to partner Thomas Partey in midfield. The Ghanaian midfielder’s first prediction upon joining Arsenal has been revisited.

Thomas Partey’s first Arsenal prediction
Speaking to Arsenal’s official website back in 2020, Partey spoke about his hopes for his career in North London shortly after joining from Atletico Madrid.
When asked about his start to life at Arsenal, Partey stated: “We have to keep working, we have to keep training hard. We have a great team, great players and I am sure we are going to be successful.”
The Gunners have not won a trophy since the FA Cup in 2020, before Partey joined and remarkably the 31-year-old is yet to taste success at the Emirates.
Success is not always measured in trophies and Arteta’s side have made huge strides since 2020 but Partey will want to mark his career with Arsenal by securing major honours.
Thomas Partey must sign new Arsenal contract to win honours
Partey was absent for Arsenal’s kit launch and his contract is due to expire this summer with a new contract yet to be agreed.
With Martin Zubimendi expected to arrive at the club this summer, the Ghanaian may find himself down the pecking order in midfield but Partey wants to stay at Arsenal.
| Thomas Partey’s Arsenal record this season | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Partey | 50 | 4 | 3 |
The importance of Partey to Arsenal was highlighted in the Champions League semi-final defeat to PSG and he has enjoyed his best season since joining the club.
Andrea Berta is keen to tie Partey down to a new deal and it would be a smart move from the club and player to continue their futures together.
Partey can then finally make his prediction of Arsenal success come true next campaign by landing a major trophy.
