Arsenal are preparing for the biggest game of their season as they travel to the Bernabeu to take on Real Madrid on Wednesday night.

The Gunners have one foot in the semi-final and merely need to avoid a catastrophic capitulation to progress to the last four of the Champions League for the first time since 2009.

Real Madrid were destroyed 3-0 by Arsenal in the first leg at the Emirates, with a stunning brace of free-kicks from Declan Rice and a strike from Mikel Merino giving Mikel Arteta’s team the advantage.

The North Londoners will travel to the Spanish capital full of confidence, and they should have a largely fit squad to select from.

Thomas Partey and Ben White spotted in Arsenal training

Arsenal will be without long-term absentees Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Jesus, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kai Havertz for the trip to the Bernabeu.

However, aside from these players, Arteta has almost everyone from his ensemble to pick from for the second leg.

Thomas Partey limped off during Arsenal’s draw with Brentford on the weekend, while Ben White missed the Brentford clash altogether with a slight knock.

Both players were doubts for the visit to one of football’s most celebrated stadiums, but both have now been spotted in training ahead of the European showdown.

Partey and White both took part in the Gunners’ final training session before jetting off to Spain.

This likely means Partey will start at the base of the midfield, with White now an option off the bench for Arteta if Jurrien Timber is suffering from fatigue.

Jorginho to miss Real Madrid game

While Partey and White have been passed fit, Jorginho has been ruled out of the Champions League clash.

The Italian suffered a chest injury against Brentford, and after he was forced off, Arsenal were left with ten men.

The news of Jorginho’s absence has now been further confirmed by Spanish journalist Manuel Sanchez, who revealed that the player wasn’t in Arsenal training on Tuesday morning.

The former Chelsea man was unlikely to start against La Casa Blanca anyway, but he might’ve been a useful option off the bench if Partey was flagging due to his own injury.
