Arsenal have a player in their ranks who has an opportunity to break a Premier League record within the next two years.
The Gunners are blessed with an abundance of talent, with their squad arguably as strong as it has been at any point in the last two decades after spending £250 million in the transfer window.
Eberechi Eze signed from Crystal Palace last week for £67.5 million, adding to Mikel Arteta’s embarrassment of riches.
However, as well as acquiring talent through spending, the North London outfit also have a number of exceptional young players emerging through their academy.

Max Dowman can break James Vaughan’s record
Max Dowman impressed off the bench against Leeds on Saturday, adding to his outstanding collection of cameo performances in the last month or so.
The 15-year-old has amazed fans and pundits with his maturity and composure, with the expectation being that he’ll develop into something special at Arsenal.
That said, a different teenage superstar stole the headlines in the Premier League this week.
Liverpool’s Rio Ngumoha scored a stoppage-time winner at St. James’ Park on Monday night to secure Arne Slot’s side all three points in a chaotic affair against Newcastle.
Dominik Szoboszlai let the ball run when it came across him in the dying moments in the north-east, with Ngumoha neatly slotting past Nick Pope in dramatic fashion.
The 16-year-old became the fourth youngest goalscorer in Premier League history in the process, at the age of just 16 years and 361 days.
Only James Vaughan, James Milner and Wayne Rooney have found the back of the net at a younger age than Ngumoha in the English top flight.
| Youngest Premier League Goalscorers | ||
| Player | Year | Age |
| James Vaughan | April 2005 | 16 years, 270 days |
| James Milner | December 2002 | 16 years, 356 days |
| Wayne Rooney | October 2002 | 16 years, 360 days |
| Rio Ngumoha | August 2025 | 16 years, 361 days |
| Cesc Fabregas | August 2004 | 17 years, 113 days |
However, Dowman still has plenty of time to beat Vaughan’s record.
The Hale End starlet doesn’t turn 16 until 31st December, giving him precisely 397 days to score a Premier League goal and beat Vaughan’s record.

Max Dowman will be given the opportunity to break James Vaughan’s record
Theo Walcott has already compared Dowman to Lionel Messi, while Danny Murphy described him as ‘unbelievable’, which speaks to the excitement around the youngster.
Against Leeds, Arteta had the option of bringing on Gabriel Martinelli when Noni Madueke was flagging. Instead, he brought on Dowman.
This shows that Arteta already has faith in the young wide man to deliver in high-pressure environments against senior defenders.
This also indicates that the Spaniard will give him opportunities when he sees fit, meaning Dowman will likely get multiple chances to cement himself in Premier League folklore and beat Vaughan’s record.
