Injuries have once again hit Arsenal this season.
When everyone is fit, the Gunners are arguably the best team in the Premier League, but injuries to key players cost them the title in the 2024/25 campaign.
It hasn’t been as severe this time around, but Arsenal have lost the likes of Martin Odegaard, Piero Hincapie, Noni Madueke, Bukayo Saka and also Kai Havertz to injuries this term.
One of them is now about to make an early return.
Kai Havertz has amazed Arsenal coaches with his injury recovery
Havertz suffered a knee injury in Arsenal’s opening game of the season against Manchester United.
The Gunners’ medical staff hoped that it would heal on its own, but it was later decided that Havertz had to undergo surgery to overcome that injury.
As a result, the German hasn’t played a single game since the clash at Old Trafford, and Mikel Arteta’s men have missed his dynamism.
Now, there is finally some good news.
Reliable club insider Hand of Arsenal has revealed that the ‘unbelievable’ Havertz has blown away Arsenal staff with the way he has recovered. He is in the final stages now and is set to make an early comeback.
Hand of Arsenal tweeted: “Kai Havertz has once again blown away staff at Arsenal with his approach to rehab.
“My understanding is that the German is in the final phase of his recovery and could make a return earlier than expected.”
Kai Havertz’s return could change Viktor Gyokeres’ role at Arsenal
Viktor Gyokeres has led Arsenal’s line in every Premier League and Champions League game this season.
The Sweden international has only scored three goals, but he has worked tirelessly and has had a positive impact in almost every game so far.
However, reports have revealed that Arteta’s plan was to start Havertz over Gyokeres in the early part of the season, because the latter needs time to adapt.
Once the German is back fit, there is a chance that he will replace the former Sporting CP star in Arsenal’s attack.
However, what would be exciting is to see Havertz and Gyokeres start together. We think they could bring the best out of each other.
