Viktor Gyokeres gives Arsenal transfer update
Arsenal transfer target Viktor Gyokeres has given an update on his plans for the future amid reports over a potential switch in the coming transfer windows.
The Gunners have been on the lookout for a striker over the past few years but have been unable to add the forward who can make a difference.
Gyokeres could be just that as an exit from Sporting CP could be on the cards, though an update has possibly ended chances of a January deal.

Speaking to the media, he said: “I want to finish this season at Sporting. I love it here. New club? We will see when the time comes. I want to play, that’s crucial… and there will be also other factors.”
While it suggests a deal this winter won’t be on offer, there could be an option over the coming summer.

Kai Havertz urged to make transfer switch
Arsenal star Kai Havertz has been urged to make a transfer switch to join Julian Nagelsmann wherever he ends up in club football after the 2026 World Cup.
It comes as the striker has featured under the manager in the German national team, having been a reliable option for the head coach.
Havertz has played up front, in midfield and even at left-back for the coach, underlining just how important he is to the way he wishes to play.
This has given rise to the suggestion, from Bavarian Football Works, that the player should work with Nagelsmann at the club level, if the opportunity arises.

“Wherever Julian Nagelsmann goes after the 2026 World Cup, Havertz needs to demand a transfer to that club,” it’s stated. “Nagelsmann recognizes that Havertz is best used as a number ten surrounded by creative teammates.
“Often knocked for his lack of aggression and consistency, his talents are being maximized with the German national team.
“He’ll never be a complete player but he can be a solid contributor for Nagelsmann as World Cup qualifying kicks into gear next year.”

Tottenham star discusses Arsenal transfer targets Viktor Gyokeres and Alexander Isak
Both Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyokeres are on the transfer radar at Arsenal and the pair have been impressing once again at national team level.
The striker duo both play for Sweden in one of the deadliest partnerships on the world stage, scoring time and again.
When the time comes, Mikel Arteta may only be able to call one up to join the Gunners in a transfer window swoop.

However, Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski has explained what makes both of them brilliant at the highest level.
He told Aftonbladet: “It’s great fun, they [Isak and Gyokeres] can come up with things on their own. It will be incredibly fun in the future and get to face the best national teams in the world and hurt them.”
It suggests that regardless of which one is chosen by Arsenal, there is a player available who can take them to the next level.
