William Saliba is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in world football right now.
The Frenchman has been consistently brilliant for Arsenal ever since establishing himself as a starter under Mikel Arteta.
In fact, even Chelsea star Cole Palmer recently included Saliba in his current Premier League Mount Rushmore. That is how highly the Arsenal defender is rated across football.
However, Viktor Gyokeres now thinks Saliba may have another sporting career waiting for him as well.

Viktor Gyokeres tells William Saliba to try American football instead
Arsenal players were left entertained by William Saliba’s celebrations after Leandro Trossard’s winner against West Ham United recently.
As the squad celebrated wildly, Saliba noticed a spare ball sitting on a cone behind the goal.
The defender then smashed the ball cleanly into the crowd before charging off to continue celebrating with the away fans.
The clip quickly went viral among Arsenal supporters because it perfectly summed up Saliba’s personality.
Gyokeres was especially impressed by the strike itself. The Swedish striker jokingly suggested Saliba should consider switching sports altogether.
Gyokeres said in a video on Arsenal’s social channels: “It’s a good strike from Wilo. I think he should try American football, no?”

What Arsenal players said about William Saliba’s hilarious celebration
Saliba’s teammates clearly loved every second of the moment as well.
Gabriel Magalhaes said: “This guy is unbelievable. Bro, I think he kicked the ball outside the stadium.”
Bukayo Saka simply added: “That’s Wilo for you.”
Declan Rice said: “He’s crazy, Wilo. But that’s one thing you would like… he’s such a composed, calm guy, but he’s so passionate, so driven. You can see the emotion coming out of him. I thought he was going to fall over, but he saved himself.”
Cristhian Mosquera reacted by saying: “Wow, Wilo, as always. Wilo is so funny.”
David Raya added: “Wilo being Wilo, as always.”
So many good celebrations at Arsenal, but whose is the best?

Jurrien Timber said: “Iconic! It’s just him. And everyone watches him now when we celebrate.”
Gabriel Martinelli claimed: “He loves these moments, no? Ebs, have you seen this?”

And finally, Saliba himself summed it all up perfectly.
The Frenchman said: “Yeah, I’ve seen this. I was happy. That’s it. I have to enjoy the moment when I am happy. It’s like this.”
