Viktor Gyokeres is already inspiring Premier League clubs despite only just signing for Arsenal.

The 27-year-old striker has committed his future to Mikel Arteta’s project, signing from Sporting CP in a deal worth £64m.

Having scored 54 goals for Sporting last season in all competitions, Gyokeres’ arrival is incredibly exciting for Arsenal, who have been pining for a striker for some time.

William Saliba sent a warning to the Premier League about Gyokeres, whom he faced in the Champions League last season, fully expecting his new teammate to do damage in the English top-flight.

Wayne Rooney’s son Kai copies Viktor Gyokeres’ celebration

Despite not kicking a ball in Arsenal colours yet, Gyokeres is already an influential figure in England.

It’s not only because of his time at Brighton and Coventry City, but because of his celebration, which has taken the footballing world by storm.

Gabriel Magalhaes cheekily stole Gyokeres’ celebration against Sporting last year in the Champions League, and he’s not the only one to do so.

In the days following the Swede’s unveiling as an Arsenal player, Gyokeres’ celebration has already been used by a talent from an English club.

Wayne Rooney’s son, Kai Rooney, scored a penalty for Manchester United U16s and opted to unleash Gyokeres’ mask celebration.

Rooney might want to have a word with his son, who paid homage to Arsenal’s new signing after finding the net for the Red Devils’ academy side.

The pair will hope that they don’t see Gyokeres put on the mask at Old Trafford in just over two weeks’ time, as Arsenal face Man United on the opening day of the season.

Rooney’s record against Arsenal

Man United will fear coming up against Gyokeres, just as Arsenal feared coming up against Rooney.

If 15-year-old Kai goes on to have a similar career to his father, then we might be seeing Gyokeres’ celebration a lot more.

Rooney was a player who tormented Arsenal over the years, infamously ending the Gunners’ unbeaten streak in October 2004.

Wayne Rooney’s record against Arsenal

When it came to playing against Arsene Wenger’s side, there were few up to the task as much as the former England international.

Rooney scored 15 goals against Arsenal in his career, the most he scored against any side, level with Aston Villa, Newcastle, and West Ham.
