Arsenal hope Jurrien Timber will be able to face PSG

Jurrien Timber has been training with the Arsenal squad ahead of the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain, according to Isaan Khan.

The 24-year-old will be on the flight to Budapest with the Arsenal team on Thursday as he still has the chance of facing PSG.

However, it is set to be a very tight call as to whether he will be fit enough to be named in the squad for the final on Saturday.

The Gunners are due to train in Budapest, and it will all be about how his body reacts to the session later today.

The North London club still hope that he will be able to feature against the defending European champions, in what would be a huge boost for the manager.

Right now, Cristhian Mosquera is the most likely candidate to start in the right back spot and will have to defend against Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

PSG are set to be with their first choice right back in Achraf Hakimi, who had been struggling with an injury in the build-up to the final.

Meanwhile, Ousmane Dembele is also set to face Arsenal following a thigh injury which had made him a doubt for Saturday’s final.
