After not being involved against Villarreal, one Arsenal player was spotted hanging out with two of his teammates.
There were lots of talking points from Arsenal’s 3-2 defeat to Villarreal in the penultimate game of pre-season.
Ten days remain until the Gunners kick off their 2025/26 Premier League season against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Mikel Arteta will be eager to see more from his team in the final test against Athletic Bilbao at the Emirates on Saturday, after a lacklustre performance against Villarreal.
The performance of those on the pitch wasn’t the only trigger for discussion, as some of the missing names also had people talking.

Fabio Vieira spotted with Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Magalhaes
Amid transfer links to Fulham, Reiss Nelson was not with the Arsenal squad to face Villarreal, and the same situation occurred for Fabio Vieira.
Vieira has been linked with a move to Stuttgart following on from his 2024/25 loan spell at Porto.
Porto didn’t want Vieira, sending the player back to Arsenal, who are set to cash in on the playmaker this summer.
Though the Portuguese creator wasn’t in the matchday squad to face Villarreal, that didn’t keep him away from his teammates.

After the game, Gabriel Martinelli posted a photo of himself, Vieira and Gabriel Magalhaes cheering on Corinthians,
Gabriel is a huge fan of Corinthians, his favourite club in Brazil, with Martinelli and Vieira also showing their appreciation for the side, who beat Palmeiras in the Copa Betano do Brasil.
How much Arsenal want to sell Vieira
Journalist Nicolo Schira reported Vieira’s transfer links to the Bundesliga, noting the price Arsenal have quoted to Stuttgart for his services.
It’s understood that Arsenal are demanding a fee of up to €35m, which is £30m.
Considering Arsenal paid £34m to sign Vieira from FC Porto in 2022, it’s encouraging to learn that the Gunners aren’t willing to lose a huge amount of money on his sale.
Wages aside, the idea of only losing £4m on the attacking midfielder’s purchase price is positive, a move that could place him in Arsenal’s top five sales of all time, which is staggering.
