Thierry Henry is the latest figure to give Eberechi Eze a warm welcome to Arsenal.
Without even kicking a ball, Eze is an icon in the eyes of Arsenal fans, snubbing Tottenham with his heart set on signing for his boyhood club.
It was only ever Arsenal for Eze, which is what makes the attacking midfielder such a special signing, having a love for the club that Mikel Arteta could not ignore.
Ian Wright was involved in the 27-year-old’s unveiling as an Arsenal player, and now, Thierry Henry has got involved with welcoming the Englishman to N5.

Thierry Henry’s special message for Eberechi Eze
Fans had to wait to hear from Eze, whose first word as an Arsenal player was simply ‘obviously’, when asked by Wright if he wanted to play for the club.
After watching his new club beat Leeds United 5-0 at his new home, the Gunners’ media team rolled out the first scenes of Eze upon completing his dream of representing Arsenal.
On X, Arsenal shared a heartwarming video message from Henry to Eze, something that left Arteta’s new signing absolutely speechless.
“Hello, big man. This is Thierry here, long time no see. First and foremost, welcome to the Arsenal,” Henry’s message began.
“We all know how much you wanted to play for the Arsenal, wear the cannon at the Emirates. There you go, it’s not a dream anymore, it’s not a utopia. That has become reality, so make sure that you make it count.
“Remember, when I first arrived at the Arsenal, they told me that it is a club that has class, it’s a family club, and you gotta fight no matter what. Okay? All the very best, so happy. Come on the Arsenal.”
Eze didn’t know how to react to the message, admitting that Henry was his idol growing up and his favourite Arsenal player.
“What are you man doing? What are you trying to do in this place?” Eze said with a beaming smile on his face.
Wright then asked the forward what the message from the Arsenal legend meant to him, something Eze insisted he could not put into words.
“Statue outside. No man. When you use words sometimes you can ruin something you know,” he said.
“This for me, it’s the feeling, I can try and explain it, but it’s the feeling man. This is powerful man.”

Eze always believed he would join Arsenal
A boyhood fan to the club’s number ten, it’s been quite the journey for Eze.
Even more so as the 27-year-old was released by Arsenal’s academy as a youngster, a snub that hurt him due to his love for the club.
In an interview with Arsenal’s official website, Eze revealed that since that moment, he’s had joining Arsenal on his mind.
“I thought about coming back from the moment I understood other clubs and what it meant to become a pro,” he told Wright.
“I’ve always thought: ‘Arsenal is where it’s at, that’s what I want to achieve, what I want to get to.’”
As Henry said, what was once a dream is now a reality for Eze, who will pull on the Arsenal shirt as a valued member of Arteta’s project very soon.
