Thomas Partey match statistics v Crystal Palace
Thomas Partey was superb in the middle of the park for Arsenal against Crystal Palace and showed why he will be a big miss in the clash with PSG.
The Ghanaian midfielder screened the back four with his usual intelligence and showed glimpses of brilliance on the ball – twisting and turning out of the Palace press with such class at times.
| Arsenal v Crystal Palace match statistics | Thomas Partey |
| Minutes played | 90 |
| Touches | 99 |
| Pass completion | 92% |
| Successful dribbles | 100% |
| Interceptions | 2 |
| Blocked shots | 1 |
He was given an 8/10 in the Arsenal player ratings v Crystal Palace and was one of very few Arsenal players that performed to their recent high standards.
Partey now faces a period on the side lines following his suspension for the first leg of the semi-final and the Gunners will struggle to fill his void in central midfield.
Thomas Partey has changed Andrea Berta’s Arsenal plans
It was expected that the midfielder would depart the Emirates Stadium at the end of his contract in June with Partey prioritising a move to Barcelona.
However, Andrea Berta’s stance has since changed and Arsenal have entered talks with Partey over a new contract that would see him stay at the club beyond this season.

Martin Keown’s verdict on Partey would suggest that he agrees with the club’s u-turn as he stated that the Gunners star was having his best season at the club so far.
Partey’s Arsenal career had previously been plagued by injuries but has found consistency with his availability this campaign and Arteta is reaping the rewards.
