Arsenal are looking light on numbers in the forward areas, with Gabriel Jesus the latest injury concern to add to their list of worries.

There were already issues for Mikel Arteta in his attacking ranks, with Bukayo Saka’s injury only further impacted by Ethan Nwaneri being out.

Add Gabriel Jesus’ injury into the mix and Arsenal are struggling for options who can make a difference to the team.

That could see the Gunners enter the mix in the January transfer window, with plenty of names available to strengthen the team.

For that reason, Arsenal absolutely must go after two forwards in the coming weeks.

Arsenal must make Nico Williams transfer approach

With Jesus facing a potential spell on the sidelines along with Saka and Nwaneri, the need to strengthen has become more pronounced.

For that reason, Arsenal must go and sign Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao before the end of the January transfer window.

The winger has a £50million release clause, which would allow for a deal to be completed as soon as possible.

While wages may be a slight issue, the 22-year-old is one of the best youngsters in the world and would be worth shelling out for.

Arsenal’s interest in Nico Williams is no surprise, but there is interest from the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona before the summer, which may accelerate a move this month.

The Spaniard can feature on the right and left flank, with plenty of pace, skill and a finish in his locker too.

For £50million, it could be a bargain, but not the only move Arsenal should make this month.

Randal Kolo Muani should also make Arsenal switch

Another forward option available during the January transfer window is PSG star Randal Kolo Muani, who only joined the side from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023 for roughly £80million.

The forward would provide even more cover, having been able to feature on the left, the right and upfront if required.

Kolo Muani is able to stretch the pitch both ways and bring a dynamic option that Arsenal are currently lacking.

A loan move would represent good value for the rest of the season before seeing if he could be a long-term acquisition.

It could end up transforming Arsenal’s attack and their options as a whole for the rest of the campaign.
