The rivalry between Arsenal and Liverpool has grown in recent years.
The two clubs peaked in different eras since the Premier League began, but in the last two seasons, they have been going toe-to-toe for the big prize.
Liverpool are the ones who won the title last season, but Arsenal are the favourites to win the league this time around.
Along with that, the Gunners could ruin the Reds’ transfer plan by signing Marc Guehi.
Arsenal enter the Marc Guehi race, in your own words WHY?
Arsenal could repeat Martin Zubimendi blow to Liverpool by signing Marc Guehi
Liverpool have had a few problems in transfer windows in recent years.
Back in 2024, the Reds triggered Martin Zubimendi’s release clause, and all signs pointed towards a move to Anfield for the Spain international.
However, in the eleventh hour, the midfielder rejected Liverpool and decided to join Arsenal a year later.
Jamie Carragher believes Mikel Arteta made Zubimendi choose the Gunners over Arne Slot’s side, and that could happen again.
Liverpool were as close as anyone could be to signing Guehi in the summer.

The Crystal Palace defender underwent a part of his medical on transfer deadline day, but a deal did not go through in the end.
Now, Arsenal are interested in signing Guehi, and Liverpool remain in the race for his signature as well.
However, as many players have said before, once they speak to Arteta, there is no turning back, and that could be the case again if the England star holds talks with the Arsenal manager.
We’re sure Slot will be furious if he misses out on Guehi to the Gunners, just like he missed out on Zubimendi.
What is the maximum fee you would pay for Marc Guehi in January considering Arsenal can sign him for free in the summer?
Greedy Arsenal could become unbeatable
Arsenal already have the best defence in the Premier League.
The Gunners have conceded the fewest goals in each of the last two seasons, and they are the favourites to do it again this time around.
William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are the first-choice starters, while Piero Hincapie and Cristhian Mosquera act as backups. Jurrien Timber and Ben White can also play in the heart of the defence, as can Riccardo Calafiori.
Arsenal have plenty of options at the back, which is why a move for Guehi feels really greedy.
However, if Arteta gets his wish and signs the Crystal Palace star, Arsenal could become an even more difficult side to beat – perhaps even an impossible side to beat.
