Arsenal handed genius Eberechi Eze swap deal chance with ‘very good’ star able to solve transfer problem

Arsenal’s transfer approach for Eberechi Eze may work out quicker if the Gunners include a player that Crystal Palace need in any deal this summer.

The Gunners have been looking through the market for forwards who can improve the squad, with several options being lined up by Andrea Berta.

While those players are on the radar, Arsenal have made enquiries about Eberechi Eze, who is separate from a deal for a centre-forward and a left-winger.

It’s the type of move that could totally transform things for Mikel Arteta, with a player who is capable of unlocking the opposition.

As a result, it won’t be an easy deal to negotiate for Eberechi Eze, but Arsenal could use one star to help set up a swap deal.

Arsenal should use Jakub Kiwior in Eberechi Eze swap deal amid Crystal Palace defensive problems

While Arsenal are looking to land Eberechi Eze this summer, it could be tough to nail down an exact price for the winger.

There is a £68 million release clause, though reports have stated that the Gunners are looking to negotiate a deal below that price.

That may be difficult to land, but there could be an opportunity to include a player in a swap deal with Crystal Palace.

Jakub Kiwior is set to leave Arsenal this summer, with the club set to sign another defender to help rotate in the backline.

The Polish international is looking to make an impact as a guaranteed starter elsewhere, which isn’t available at the Emirates Stadium.

A move to Crystal Palace, as part of a swap deal, makes plenty of sense for Kiwior, though, given their struggles with centre-backs in particular.

Oliver Glasner likes to play a three-at-the-back formation, but Marc Guehi has been linked with an exit as just one year remains on his contract.

If the Eagles are to sell for a profit, rather than lose him as a free agent, then landing a replacement will be necessary.

Kiwior could do exactly that, having shown he is capable of making that step up on the biggest stage possible.

Given negotiations over a deal for Eze, including Kiwior in the talks just makes sense.

Jakub Kiwior was praised for “very good” Arsenal performances last season

There have been question marks about Kiwior in the past, with his place in the Arsenal side seeming uncertain.

The defender was rarely featuring, due to the performances of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes, often coming in as a rotation option.

While he failed to impress in those cameos, Kiwior did step up to the plate when it came to his displays in the latter half of last season, replacing the injured Gabriel.

The 25-year-old played well in the Premier League and the Champions League, earning plaudits from Mikel Arteta.

“Very good!” the Arsenal boss told TNT Sports back in March on Kiwior’s displays. “Especially because obviously he had not a lot of moments before.

“We had some injuries, and we are asking him to play in a position that he hasn’t played, and he’s adapting very fast, and his performances, they’ve been really consistent.

“And that’s why you need the players that when you call on them, they step in and they get the job done.”
