As Arsenal’s summer transfer plans step up, they could look to make the most of some opportunities in the market to strengthen.
The Gunners are in need of some reinforcements over the next few months, not least in the attacking areas, with Andrea Berta on the lookout for some superstars to help Arsenal reach the heights again.
While shortlists will have been drawn up for the top targets the club will want to attract, they will also have to be agile in the market.
Opportunities could arise that were otherwise not expected, which may bring about a few surprise transfers for Mikel Arteta.
With Manchester United’s defeat to Tottenham in the Europa League sending the Red Devils into a year without European football, plenty of change could be on the cards.
That may open up an opportunity for Arsenal to steal away a few Manchester United stars for a cut-price deal, so here’s a look at a few the club should target.

Bruno Fernandes
Ian Wright said he would want Bruno Fernandes at Arsenal, and he could get that wish if the Gunners were to make a cheeky offer for the Man United club captain.
With the Red Devils missing out on European football and the finances that come from that, there may be an opportunity to land arguably their best player.
Fernandes himself has even opened up on a possible exit after the Europa League final, I will be here until the club says to me that it’s time to go.
“If the club thinks it’s time to part ways because they want to do some cash in or whatever, it’s what it is… and football sometimes is like this.”
That could well open the door to a possible move, with Arsenal in desperate need of a chance creator in the midfield.
Marcus Rashford
Arsenal have been linked with Marcus Rashford in the past, with the forward seemingly not in favour under Ruben Amorim.
The versatile forward was available in January, but didn’t join the Gunners and instead made a move to Aston Villa on loan.
Rashford returned to some of his best form at Villa Park during his spell, which may well tempt Arsenal into a deal.
With the 27-year-old facing a potential exit this summer, there could be a bargain available for Arteta to build his forward ranks around.

Alejandro Garnacho
A young star with plenty of potential, Alejandro Garnacho could well be one of the stars available in the market this summer.
The Manchester United forward was linked with an exit in the previous two transfer windows, given the funds they could receive for him.
With Arsenal constantly looking to bolster their forward ranks, Garnacho may not be the worst option to go and sign.
The player himself has seemingly hinted at his discontent after the Europa League final, stating: “Until we reached the final, I played every round. And I played 20 minutes today – I don’t know.
“I’m going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens next.”
It may well be an opportunity for Arsenal to take advantage and land another top young talent.
