Arsenal will be looking to repeat their 4-2 victory over Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium when they travel to the Foxes.

Arsenal know they cannot afford a slip up as they look to capitalise on Liverpool’s draw with Everton at the top of the Premier League – Mikel Arteta explained his bizarre incident for Everton’s equaliser.

Kai Havertz injury has been explained by the Arsenal manager as the Gunners head into the Premier League clash with just three available forwards.

One huge positive for Arteta is that Ben White is set to return to the Arsenal squad against Leicester City but the manager would be wise to not make the wrong decision regarding the England defender.

Mikel Arteta cannot risk Ben White too early from injury

Whilst Arteta is keen to get White back playing given the impact he has on Arsenal both defensively and offensively from right back, the manager cannot risk bringing him back too early.

After knee surgeries, players can be more susceptible to muscular injuries given the strain the body has gone through in recovery.

Arsenal simply cannot afford any more injuries to their depleted squad and White could be part of Arteta’s creative solutions without Kai Havertz.

The England man could potentially be used at right centre back or even right wing-back should Arteta choose to change formation amid the injury crisis in forward areas. In order to do that, White needs to be fit and firing.

White still unavailable for England selection

If White can return to Arsenal with the same form he has consistently shown in recent seasons, it will be a big boost for not only the Gunners but for Thomas Tuchel’s England side.

The Arsenal made himself unavailable for England back in 2022 but White could change his mind under Tuchel and return for the World Cup campaign.

Just four appearances have been made by White in an England shirt so far in his career but with the loss of form of Kyle Walker and John Stones, the Gunners man could be in line for a recall.

The beauty of White is the versatility of the player, he is comfortable at centre back, right back and even in holding midfield. Tuchel and Arteta will be keen for him to be back playing.
