Arsenal have faced some tough red card luck going against them this season, which only got worse on Sunday when they took on Chelsea.
In this campaign so far, plenty of those calls have seen the sending-offs come from their team, with several key calls made.
Declan Rice. Leandro Trossard, William Saliba and Myles Lewis-Skelly have all seen red so far this season in different circumstances.
While some have been questionable for Arsenal, their luck in terms of opponents losing a player hasn’t been on their side either.
That was certainly the case on Sunday when Arsenal beat Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium in a clash where it could’ve turned in their favour even more.

Wesley Fofana got away with red card in Arsenal vs Chelsea
Referee Chris Kavanagh had a tough game at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday in an encounter that was feisty, to say the least.
Several moments saw sparks of fury from both the Arsenal and Chelsea camps, with the two teams putting in some rash challenges.
For the visitors though, they were fortunate not to be reduced to ten men, following some calls on Wesley Fofana.
The defender was lucky to get away with a stamp on Declan Rice, with Fofana avoiding a straight red card from a VAR check.
Even if it wasn’t deemed a red card, the Frenchman somehow missed out on a booking from Kavanagh for the challenge.
He continued to make four fouls after that challenge, avoiding a booking throughout some dangerous moments.
Fofana was eventually booked for delaying the restart, throwing the ball on the pitch from a throw-in to finally receive a caution.
However, given the fact he was already booked, it was baffling that he didn’t see red from the referee in the match.

Arsenal boosted Champions League hopes despite referee call
While the referee call came as something of a blow at a moment they didn’t need it, Arsenal managed to get themselves over the line.
In the end, it was an important win over Chelsea, one that put a bigger gap between themselves and their rivals.
The Blues are part of a rabble of teams looking to muscle their way into the Champions League places this season.
Given the inconsistent nature of Arsenal this season, it could’ve been easy to get dragged into a battle for the top European competition.
However, in all, a win for the Gunners has put them one step closer to securing a Champions League spot, which is vital for consistency in financial terms.
