Arsenal and Mikel Arteta have a lot to solve ahead of the January and summer 2025 transfer windows.
Usually, Edu Gaspar would be eyeing possible targets to bolster the Gunners this winter however, things have changed in that department.
Edu shocked Arteta when he left Arsenal, seeing the Brazilian resign from his role as sporting director.
As well as sounding out new signings, the club are in the process of searching for Edu’s successor at the Emirates, making the upcoming transfer windows all the more interesting.

Arsenal are interested in Aleksander Isak
Before leaving, Edu left a five-man striker shortlist for Arsenal, with one of the names being Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak.
David Ornstein confirmed that Arteta likes Isak, who is a proven Premier League goalscorer, even finding the net against the Gunners this season.
Like every transfer, the deal would not be straightforward and that’s not just because Arsenal would have to buy from a direct rival.
It’s understood that Edu’s replacement will play a role in Arsenal’s hopes to sign Isak, who is valued very highly by the Magpies.
While it’s clear to see why Arsenal would want to sign a profile such as the Sweden international, there’s another emerging option that Arteta should strongly consider.
Matheus Cunha has been compared to Dennis Bergkamp
The Premier League is blessed with talent and right now, very few are performing as well as Wolves forward Matheus Cunha.
A player speculated to be wanted by Manchester United, as per TBR, the Brazilian has contributed to 29 Premier League goals since the start of the last season and is leading the way for Wolves amid their dire form.
A player who has found a place to call home in the English top-flight is hard to find, particularly when it comes to individuals who can make something out of nothing.
Cunha has done that for the Midlands club all campaign and could be on the more in the summer, which should alert Arsenal to hijack Ruben Amorim’s dreams to sign the 25-year-old.
From a Gunners point of view, the Wolves sensation could bring back a feeling of the past, according to recent reviews.
On BBC Match of the Day after match day 12, Ashley Williams formed a comparison between Dennis Bergkamp and Cunha.
“He’s such a strong runner, what a touch that is, a couple of touches actually. This is Dennis Bergkamp-esque.
“Two touches and a finish, that’s what you want to see when you’re watching a game of football,” Williams said when reacting to the forward’s opener against Fulham.
Isak seems to be the favoured Premier League target as Arteta’s hunt for a goalscorer continues however, eyeing Cunha amid Wolves’ relegation form could be a wise move from the Spaniard.
