At times, it didn’t look like Mikel Arteta’s team would get over the line, and it’s clear that there is still work to be done improving this squad.

Following the first title win, Arsenal Insider takes a look at the signings the North London club could make to cement their title as Premier League champions.

Rafael Leao or Marcus Rashford to replace Gabriel Martinelli

Adding more firepower in front of goal next season should be a priority, and left wing is the one attacking position Arsenal must strengthen.

Gabriel Martinelli could leave Arsenal this summer after seven years at the club, and upgrading on him will be key.

Leandro Trossard has popped up with some clutch moments throughout the season; however, signing an elite starting left winger could complete this team.

Rafael Leao and Marcus Rashford are both set to be available and have proven themselves as goal-getters from the left-hand side.

Leao is set to leave AC Milan, and his experience of playing at the top level, winning league titles, could be a great addition for the Gunners, as with Rashford.

Tino Livramento or Michael Kayode to replace Ben White

Ben White could be leaving Arsenal during the next transfer window, and that would be a sensible move given his injury issues over recent years.

Signing a more reliable backup and someone who can allow Jurrien Timber the chance to rest will be very important for Arsenal.

Tino Livramento and Michael Kayode have both been two of the best right-backs in the Premier League this season, and have been linked with moves to the Emirates Stadium.

Livramento’s ability to play on either flank could make him an attractive option; meanwhile, Kayode’s threat of taking set pieces could make him exciting.

Adam Wharton or Sandro Tonali to replace Martin Zubimendi

Unfortunately, Martin Zubimendi has not quite been the brilliant signing he seemed at the start of the season and finding an upgrade for the Spaniard could be key.

But regardless of whether they choose to replace him, Arsenal need to sign another midfielder after running both Zubimendi and Declan Rice into the ground.

The Gunners really need an elite deep-lying playmaker, and Adam Wharton looks to have the potential to reach that level.

Sandro Tonali has been linked with a move to Arsenal and is another outstanding option the club should be looking to sign.

Julian Alvarez to replace Gabriel Jesus

Arsenal are ready to back Viktor Gyokeres for another season; however, they seem intent on landing another striker.

Julian Alvarez looks to be the dream target for Arsenal, and adding him to Gyokeres and Kai Havertz gives the Gunners three great options.

Alvarez will not be cheap, and there are several other top European clubs that also want to sign the Argentine this summer.
