Harry Kane returns to North London on matchday five of the league phase of the Champions League.
The former Tottenham striker will make his second appearance for Bayern Munich at the Emirates, following on from the 2023/24 Champions League quarter-final clash.
In his last visit to Arsenal, Kane scored during the 2-2 draw, but this time, the Englishman will face a very different version of Mikel Arteta’s side.
What Kane might notice is the presence of Piero Hincapie, whom he became familiar with in the Bundesliga before the Ecuadorian made the move to Arsenal.

Piero Hincapie’s Bundesliga record against Harry Kane is good news for Arsenal
Kane has admirers in the Arsenal squad, but when it comes to clashes between defence and attack, the niceties will be spared.
After Hincapie shone in the North London Derby, the 23-year-old is likely to retain his place alongside William Saliba, which might unnerve Kane.
That’s because, in the three Bundesliga matches when Hincapie and Kane lined up against each other from the start, the England captain failed to score.

Hincapie duelled Kane for a total of 266 minutes in the Bundesliga, and in that time, the Spurs legend was unable to find the net, giving him a fresh challenge on Wednesday night.
If continuing his rich scoring record against Arsenal wasn’t a great enough incentive, then getting the better of the Gunners’ new defender could be.
Kane spoke about his scoring record against Arsenal ahead of kick-off
Gabriel Magalhaes knows how tough it is to play against Kane, as do Arsenal squads past and present.
Kane has 15 goals in 21 appearances against Arsenal in his career, but ahead of Wednesday night’s meeting, the striker was eager to play down his record.
Harry Kane’s scoring record against Arsenal
“It was always a big moment when I was at Tottenham, the North London derby. But it’s not about me and Arsenal, but Bayern and Arsenal,” Kane said in his pre-match press conference.
“I’m in good form and it’s just about helping my team and scoring goals.”
Whether Arsenal are on his mind or not, Kane’s intentions are clear, with the marksman looking to add to the 24 goals he already has in 2025/26.
Can Hincapie stop the train as he did in the Bundesliga? We’ll soon find out.
