Jorginho is a big fan of Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali, and he surely would love to see his fellow countryman join Arsenal.
Arsenal have been linked with a shock move for Tonali on transfer deadline day and are working on a deal with Newcastle United.

Newcastle are dismissing talk of discussions with Arsenal for Tonali; however, the Gunners seem intent on replacing the injured Mikel Merino.
If Andrea Berta can pull off the late switch, it would be one of the most incredible deadline day moves in recent memory.
Tonali is one of the top Premier League midfielders, and Jorginho has previously suggested why signing him could be great for the Gunners.
Jorginho has tipped Sandro Tonali to replace him amid Arsenal links
Former Arsenal player Jorginho has previously stated that Sandro Tonali would be the man to replace him as the main man in Italy’s midfield.
That prediction has certainly come true for the national team, but now, the 25-year-old could actually do the same at the Emirates Stadium.
Speaking back in 2021, just months after Italy’s Euro 2020 triumph, predicting who would replace him, he said: “Let me think: Tonali.
“Now everyone plays in a two in midfield, I realise it’s not easy. Today’s kids grow up playing practically only two in midfield, then it’s normal to struggle when you get older.”
What is the maximum fee Arsenal should pay to sign Sandro Tonali?
Jorginho, who left Arsenal last summer, should be giving strong reviews to Tonali about the project Mikel Arteta is building at Arsenal.
Having the Italian as a point of reference could be a huge boost for Arsenal’s hopes of signing Tonali either on deadline day or next summer.
Initially, Tonali would play a similar squad role to Jorginho as a rotation option, but there’s every chance he could end up competing to start with Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi.
Sandro Tonali compared to Arsenal midfielder Mikel Merino
Tonali would be a rather different profile of midfielder compared to Merino, who Arsenal would be replacing by signing the Italian.
The Newcastle star has proven to be a better passer than the Spaniard, making 1,030 with an accuracy of 85 per cent, whilst Merino has attempted just 355 with a 76 per cent accuracy.
Tonali also leads the way for tackles made, with 96 compared to Merino’s 26 this season. But where the Arsenal star does excel is in the air, having won 28 aerial duels this season, compared to Tonali’s 10.
