Arsenal are gearing up for a huge Premier League clash against Liverpool at Anfield.
With the season still in its infancy, there is already a feeling that the upcoming clash is a crucial juncture in the Premier League title race.
Mikel Arteta’s side have drawn their last three visits to Liverpool and will be hoping to go one better despite the confirmed absences of Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz.
It is not just on the pitch where the two clubs are locking horns and the Gunners could be about to seriously affect Liverpool’s future transfer plans in the remaining days of the window.

Piero Hincapie transfer to Arsenal leaves Bayer Leverkusen defence weaker
Arsenal are pushing to sign Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen before the transfer window slams shut on September 1st.
Arteta sees Hincapie as the ‘ideal’ signing to provide cover and competition to the left-hand side of his defence, especially with Jakub Kiwior edging closer to a move to Porto.
Hincapie has excelled in Germany during his time with Leverkusen and will leave Erik Ten Haag with a huge hole in his defence.
Liverpool sold defender Jarrell Quansah to Leverkusen earlier in the summer to partner Hincapie at the heart of the defence.
It will now leave the England U21 star with a new central defensive partner having already lost their opening Bundesliga game 2-1 at home to Hoffenheim.
Liverpool’s sell-on clause for Jarrell Quansah could be affected by Arsenal move for Piero Hincapie
Quansah moved to Germany in a deal worth up to £35m with add-ons, however, Liverpool included a buy-back clause and a sell-on clause in the deal.
With Hincapie potentially moving to North London and Leverkusen’s defence weakening, it will mean that Quansah’s transfer value could be about to decrease.
| Piero Hincapie’s Bayer Leverkusen record last season | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Hincapie | 45 | 3 | 2 |
Whilst one player does not make a team, Hincapie was a huge part of how Leverkusen build their attacks from the back, whilst giving them defensive solidity.
Liverpool may find that their plan to bring back a top-quality defender or cash in on Quansah’s increased transfer value after a successful spell in Germany could be about to hit a stumbling block thanks to the Gunners.
