England’s comfortable win over Costa Rica gave Arsenal supporters plenty to think about.
Eberechi Eze and Morgan Rogers were both introduced from the bench in the second half, and despite having limited time together on the pitch, the pair immediately looked in sync.
That will have excited Arsenal fans because the Gunners are interested in signing Rogers, while Eze is already one of Mikel Arteta’s most important players.
One person who may not have enjoyed watching their partnership quite as much, however, is Martin Odegaard.
Which Morgan do you want at Arsenal and WHY – Gibbs-White or Rogers?
Eberechi Eze and Morgan Rogers showed what Arsenal could have next season
England were already in complete control when Eze and Rogers entered the game, but that did not stop the pair from making a positive impact.
Both players looked sharp, energetic and eager to get on the ball whenever possible. What stood out most, though, was how naturally they seemed to find each other.
One moment in particular caught the eye.
Eze received possession in a central area before threading a superb pass through the Costa Rica defence into the path of Rogers. The Aston Villa star got his shot away, but the goalkeeper made a good save to deny him.

It did not result in a goal, but the move offered a glimpse of what Arsenal supporters could potentially see every week if Rogers and Eze become teammates at the Emirates Stadium.
Reports have suggested that Rogers wants to join the Gunners over any other club.
If that transfer does happen, Arteta would suddenly have two incredibly dynamic attacking midfielders capable of playing behind the striker.
That could create a very uncomfortable situation for Odegaard.

Time to sell?
Martin Odegaard’s time at Arsenal could be coming to an end
Odegaard has been a magnificent servant to Arsenal.
He captained the club to the Premier League title, played a huge role in Arteta’s rebuild and, at his peak, was one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe.
However, the last two seasons have not been his strongest.
Injuries have disrupted his rhythm, while his overall influence in the final third has declined compared to the standards he previously set for himself at Arsenal.
Now, with just two years remaining on his contract, questions about his long-term future are inevitable.
If Arsenal sign Rogers, the competition for places becomes even fiercer. The Aston Villa star is a bigger goal threat than Odegaard, while Eze will only get better next season. Add Kai Havertz, Max Dowman and potentially even Ethan Nwaneri and that position becomes stacked.
For the first time in years, Arsenal’s captain could find himself looking over his shoulder, and that may ultimately bring his time at the club closer to its conclusion.
