Ethan Nwaneri has become the talk of the town thanks to his recent performances at Arsenal.
The teenager is one of the best young players in the world right now. Everyone knew he was a great talent, but the way he has stepped up at the highest level in difficult circumstances is just incredible to see.
Nwaneri is filling Bukayo Saka’s shoes at Arsenal on the right wing. That felt like an impossible task when the England international looked injured, but the youngster has made it look easy.
Now, we think Nwaneri could become even better in the coming weeks thanks to one player.
Why Ben White will help Ethan Nwaneri explode at Arsenal
Ben White has been one of Arsenal’s most important players since he joined the club in 2021.
The Englishman started off as a centre-half at the Emirates, but he was then moved to right-back to accommodate William Saliba following his return from loan.
White became a star there and was the best right-back in the Premier League in the 2023/24 season. He combined tremendously with Saka and the two of them troubled almost every defence.
Sadly, White has been out injured since November and hasn’t played a game yet. He is fit now, and we should see him back on the pitch very soon.
Once he starts on the right flank as Nwaneri, we think the two of them will have the same kind of partnership as the former Brighton man did with Saka.
White is much more of an overlapping threat than Jurrien Timber is, and that should open up more space for Nwaneri to exploit.
If the two of them get it right, we think Arsenal will once again become the most dominant side in the country on that side of the pitch. That’s something nobody is talking about right now.

Arsenal’s unsung hero deserves more praise
We’re really excited to see White back in action – he is key to the way Arsenal play.
However, a lot of praise should go Timber’s way because the Dutchman has been absolutely incredible in White’s absence over the last few months.
The former Ajax man missed just one game in all competitions due to injury since White underwent surgery.
That is an insane record, especially when you consider that he missed almost the whole of last season after rupturing his ACL.
Timber is Arsenal’s unsung hero this season, and we’re glad that he will have more rest now that White is back and available.
