Ben White had to undergo surgery after suffering a knee injury.

The Gunners have had rotten luck with injuries this season. They have had one player or another unavailable since the start of the campaign, and that has really hurt them.

Martin Odegaard was Arsenal’s biggest miss when he was out for over two months, but White’s absence now could prove costly too.

That’s because the Englishman is not expected to be back anytime soon.

Arsenal star Ben White’s injury return timeline

White was struggling with an injury the whole of the 2023/24 season, but he still managed to play over 50 times for Arsenal.

The former Brighton man is a warrior, and he put his body on the line to help the club.

White missed a few games in the first three months of this season because of fitness issues and Arsenal’s medical staff had to make a decision.

It was decided that White would undergo a knee surgery to overcome the issue, and the defender has been out of action since.

Mikel Arteta revealed that White will be out for ‘months’ but refused to give an accurate timeline over when he will be back.

Now, the Daily Mail have revealed that Arsenal’s doctors have pencilled White’s absence to be three months. They think it would be a big ‘bonus’ if he recovers before that.

That means White will not be back in action until the middle of February at the very least, which is a big blow for Arsenal.

The three huge games Ben White will miss due to injury

Arsenal will have to rely on just Jurrien Timber until the middle of February unless they dive into the market for a new right-back in the winter window.

Takehiro Tomiyasu is still at the club, but he is injured too and his record makes him very unreliable. That is a shame because he’s such a good player when he’s fit.

Arsenal have a favourable run of fixtures coming up – most of their games are winnable on paper, but there are three big ones that White will unfortunately miss.

White’s unavailability in all of those games is a big blow, but the good news for Arsenal is that all three of the above fixtures will be at the Emirates.
