Declan Rice stole the headlines in Arsenal’s win over Real Madrid, but he wasn’t the only player to impress.
Rice scored two direct free kicks, with a third goal added by Mikel Merino.
Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Real Madrid was one of the biggest spectacles the Emirates had ever seen, on a night that belonged to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
There wasn’t a single player who didn’t put in a shift against the Champions League holders, but naturally, some are more spoken about than others.

Myles Lewis-Skelly caused Real Madrid real problems
Rice stunned Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe by scoring twice in spectacular fashion, seeing the England international put his name up in lights.
As well as Rice, another top performer was Bukayo Saka, who left the Spanish press mesmerised by his bullying of David Alaba on the right flank.
Saka wasn’t the only one to earn high praise from overseas media, as Myles Lewis-Skelly was heralded by several Spanish outlets.
Arsenal fans were blown away by Lewis-Skelly and rightly so, as the 18-year-old looked Real Madrid’s star-studded squad in the eyes and ensured he left the pitch on the winning side.

For a player enjoying his breakthrough season at senior level, Lewis-Skelly’s performance against Europe’s most decorated side was one to marvel at.
The teenager controlled the game, only misplacing three passes while excelling defensively and providing a threat going forward.
While Vinicius Jr failed to complete a single dribble against the Gunners, Lewis-Skelly got the better of the Brazilian, completing 100% of his dribbles to really flex his superiority.
Attending school and schooling Real Madrid for Lewis-Skelly
It was a remarkable night for the Hale End graduate, who was born seven months after Arsenal’s win against Real Madrid in 2006.
Not many 18-year-olds can say they dominated Real Madrid alongside completing their A Levels, but that’s the norm for the budding talent.
After Lewis-Skelly made his England debut, the versatile defender shared his plans once he returned from St George’s Park.
“Back to school and back to training this week with the same focus and energy,” he said on Instagram.
In an interview with Arsenal’s official website, Lewis-Skelly shared that he’s studying to earn an AS Level in Spanish and Business Studies, academic work that he’s committed to alongside his meteoric rise on the pitch.
The teenager played against Real Madrid without a care in the world, earning high praise when the stakes couldn’t have been higher.
