Three Arsenal transfer replacements for Bukayo Saka amid major injury concern

Arsenal will be fearing the worst when it comes to the availability of Bukayo Saka in the weeks ahead, following the star’s recent injury concerns.

Bukayo Saka was spotted on crutches leaving Selhurst Park, following his early substitution in the match against Crystal Palace.

With a busy fixture schedule ahead, the Gunners will be hoping that the issue is nothing too serious, though the early signs aren’t good.

Mikel Arteta admitted he was unsure on Saka’s injury, which only adds further uncertainty over his condition.

Should it be serious, Arsenal could well dip into the January market to add some fresh faces to the squad and to cover for the loss of quality.

So with that said, here’s a look at three options the Gunners could look to sign in the transfer window.

Nico Williams

Nico Williams has been linked with transfer to Arsenal, with the winger impressing during his time in La Liga with Athletic Club.

With a release clause of roughly £50million, it could be an absolute bargain for a player who has plenty of room to grow.

At 22 years old, Williams is capable of playing on the right-wing, though long-term he may be more of a left-wing option.

In 23 appearances this season, that have been disrupted by injuries, he has scored two goals and assisted five for his side.

Raphinha

Another winger who has been on the radar is Raphinha, who has been a key figure for Barcelona since joining from Leeds.

The 28-year-old, much like Williams, would prefer to play on the left but can feature on the right flank if needed.

A deal may be tough to come by, with 17 goals and ten assists for the Blaugrana so far this season in all competitions.

If he is available though, Raphinha would provide a huge boost to the attacking ranks for the rest of the season.

Mohammed Kudus

Mohammed Kudus is another Arsenal transfer target, with the star man facing a potential exit from West Ham.

The Ghanaian international has been a key man at times since moving to the Premier League, featuring on the right and as a central playmaker.

Kudus may be able to offer an open-play threat that the Gunners have been largely missing so far this season.
