Arsenal are ready for a huge January transfer window, which could see them bolster the squad ahead of an intense second half of the campaign.

Mikel Arteta has struggled to get the most out of his team so far, with Liverpool and Chelsea currently leading the Gunners in the race for the Premier League title.

With squad depth and quality coming into question for Arsenal, a marquee signing or two over the coming months could transform things for them.

Plenty of different transfer links have appeared heading into January, with one of those including West Ham star Mohammed Kudus.

Mohammed Kudus to Arsenal transfer depends on key changes

Heading into January, Arteta has suggested Arsenal won’t do much transfer business, placing his trust in the current players at his disposal.

Even with that in mind, recent links have suggested Arsenal hold transfer interest in Mohammed Kudus as an option to improve their forward quality.

The Ghanaian international is claimed to have a release clause, stated to be around the £85million mark, but it may not take that being triggered to get the move done.

According to TalkSPORT, West Ham are willing to sell Kudus in January if an offer is made for the versatile star.

The report claims that a comparatively high fee will have to be on the table though, if it is to be accepted by the Hammers.

On top of that, another condition is that Arsenal would have to complete some sales to give them room for a deal.

It remains to be seen whether that is something the Gunners can manufacture, with a thinner squad already leaving them without a few options.

Why Arsenal want Mohammed Kudus in transfer switch

Mohammed Kudus is a player who has impressed ever since he switched from Ajax to West Ham in the Premier League.

The forward is a clear option to any team near the top of the table, given the quality that he possesses.

The 24-year-old is versatile, able to play on both flanks as well as at the attacking midfield position, something that would be so useful to Arsenal.

His maverick ability to create out of nothing is something missing from the current squad at the Emirates Stadium.

At a time where the Gunners need more unpredictability in their attacking play, adding Kudus would provide just that.
