Arsenal have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Noni Madueke.
Mikel Arteta was allowed to speak to Madueke and the Gunners boss has convinced the Chelsea star that Arsenal is the right choice for his career.
Madueke is set to fly back to the UK from Chelsea’s FIFA Club World Cup squad in order to complete his medical at the Emirates Stadium before signing a five-year contract.
Bukayo Saka now has competition at Arsenal and it remains to be seen how Arteta will use his new signing alongside the Hale End star.

Three ways Arsenal could line up next season with Noni Madueke
Arteta is under pressure to deliver a trophy next season and whilst fans will be hoping that Madueke is not the only forward acquisition this window, he does come with an element of intrigue.
Madueke’s versatility gives Arteta a number of options in how to use the 23-year-old and his introduction into the side could mean some interesting position changes for established first-team stars.
Arsenal Insider investigates three ways that Arsenal could line up next season with Madueke in the starting eleven.
Noni Madueke replaces Gabriel Martinelli on the left wing
Gabriel Martinelli’s future at the club remains uncertain this summer with Bayern Munich and Al Nassr interested in the Brazilian winger.
His last two seasons have been inconsistent in North London and not at the high standards he set during the 2022-23 campaign.
Madueke finished the season strongly on the left flank for Chelsea and could come into the side to provide a more direct approach for the Gunners.

Noni Madueke moves Bukayo Saka into a central role
Madueke and Saka both admire Cristiano Ronaldo and share a lot of the same abilities and traits in their displays.
Both players like to operate on the right wing and then cut inside on their stronger left foot to deliver a cross or a shot on goal.
Arteta now has the option to use Madueke on the right flank and move the influential Saka into a central role to control Arsenal’s attacks further.

It would mean Saka learning a new role in a pivotal season for Arsenal but the 23-year-old has shown in the past that he possesses the vision and technique to play in a role with more freedom to roam.
Noni Madueke is Arsenal’s answer at centre forward
Arsenal have been told they need a striker from every corner of the football universe. What if Madueke is that centre forward that they crave?
The England international has played in the role for PSV Eindhoven in the past and boasts an impressive record with eight goal contributions in 14 appearances.
It would allow Arteta to keep Martin Odegaard in the side and with Madueke’s pace and intelligence of movement, the Gunners could spring a surprise on their opponents.

It is exciting times for Arsenal fans with sporting director Andrea Berta also targeting further acquisitions in the forward areas.
The versatility and array of plans that Arteta can formulate now gives the Spaniard the chance to adapt his side depending on the opposition they face next campaign.
