Benjamin Sesko might want to take note of Declan Rice’s review of joining Arsenal to work with Mikel Arteta.
It’s been two years since Rice signed for Arsenal in a £105m deal from West Ham United, and already, it’s difficult to imagine life without the England international.
The same view applies in Arteta’s eyes, who calls on the midfielder whenever he’s available, as shown by Rice being one of the most overworked players in the world.
The Gunners are honoured to have the 26-year-old in their squad, but the Englishman is just as grateful to be an Arsenal player, as he explained shortly after arriving.

Speaking to TNT Sports just weeks after his transfer, Rice explained how much his game had expanded as a result of working with Arteta.
“In the last four weeks, I’ve grown so much already and learned so much about football that I hadn’t seen before,” he said.
Rice went on to admit he was ‘blown away’ by the impact Arteta had on him as an individual, detailing how special it is to work under the Spaniard.
“I was blown away [by Arteta]; and working with him day-to-day, it’s just another level.
“Seeing how he works, how his mind operates, picking up stuff, seeing how he goes into detail on the opposition, and how he wants to improve us as players, individually and collectively, is really impressive.”
For players who could join Arsenal during the 2025 summer transfer window, the 2023 signing’s words are inspiring.
It took Arteta no time at all to win Rice over, as the midfielder commented further on when explaining his earliest moments in North London.
“From the moment I walked in the door, the thing that shocked me most is how much [winning] is drilled into the club, and the way the manager is drilling it into the players about winning, and not being far off being one of the best teams in the world.
“That’s what excites me, and that’s why I came to Arsenal; to win things, to play under Mikel, and play with these players. It’s such an exciting project to join.”
If there’s one player that might pay extra attention to Rice’s glowing review of Arteta, it’s Arsenal target Sesko, whose agent recently spoke out about the type of environment his client could leave RB Leipzig for.

Links between Arsenal and Sesko are growing as the transfer window progresses.
Speculation is part of the joys of the transfer market being active, and amid the rising talk, Sesko’s agent, Elvis Basanovic, sat down with Fabrizio Romano to set the record straight.
As shared with GIVEMESPORT, Basanovic told Romano of the conditions that Sesko would leave Leipzig for, and Arsenal must take note.
“Well, his numbers at his age compared to some strikers with already great careers at his age are confirming my words. He will move from RB Leipzig only when we recognise a special club, a special project with a special coach.”
Basanovic and Sesko only need to acknowledge Rice’s feedback on signing for Arsenal, as the England international’s opinion of Arteta certainly placed the coach in the ‘special’ category.
The Arsenal boss’s project sells itself, as some of the best players in Europe currently call the Emirates home, with the best very much yet to come.
