Mikel Arteta has added several very nice attacking options to his Arsenal squad, but there is one player whom Cole Palmer has previously admitted he really likes.
For many years leading up to his arrival at Chelsea, Cole Palmer was deemed one of the most exciting young talents in English football.
In turn, the Chelsea star has played alongside some other top youngsters, one of whom has recently signed for the Gunners.
That player is Arsenal’s new forward Noni Madueke, who has been on fire at the Emirates Stadium following his controversial move from Chelsea in the summer.

Cole Palmer is a big fan of Noni Madueke
Speaking all the way back in 2020, as an 18-year-old, Palmer admitted that Madueke was one of the best teammates he had played alongside.
During their early years, Palmer and Madueke will have become well acquainted while playing for England’s youth teams.
Just like Palmer, Madueke has been a player for whom the FA had very high hopes, and the winger has since delivered upon his potential.
How do you rate Noni Madueke’s signing out of 10?
Former Manchester City teammate Phil Foden was another player he mentioned, along with Eric Garcia, who is now at FC Barcelona.
Five years ago, Palmer told Rising Ballers on Instagram: “The five best players I’ve played with? Phil Foden, Tommy Doyle, Jayden Braaf, Noni (Madueke) and Eric Garcia.”
Madueke is now well-liked by Arsenal’s squad, as revealed by his new manager, Mikel Arteta, and has quickly made his presence felt on the pitch.
Following his impressive run of form, Madueke has proved Arsenal’s improved depth this season, and this has stood the Gunners in great stead.
Cole Palmer and Chelsea gave Noni Madueke an unfriendly welcome back to Stamford Bridge
Palmer and Chelsea’s players were particularly unwelcoming of their ex-teammate, with the former encouraging fans to jeer the 23-year-old.
Of course, Palmer was only joking with his reaction, but there was nothing funny about Enzo Fernandez’s treatment of the winger.
When Chelsea players gave Noni Madueke a frosty reception upon his return to SW6… 😬
The Argentine midfielder was spotted taking a swipe at Madueke’s legs and then shouting in his face to get off the floor.
It’s a London derby, so tempers are going to flare, but Chelsea’s players certainly crossed a line following his return to the Bridge.
