The summer transfer window is fast-approaching, and Arsenal’s recruitment chiefs have been drawing up a shortlist of targets.

Mikel Arteta is in the market for a wide player as he looks to upgrade on Gabriel Martinelli, who has scored just one Premier League goal this term.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is believed to be Arsenal’s ‘dream’ target, however, it will be a very difficult deal to get over the line.

You’re Mikel Arteta…who is your NUMBER ONE big summer signing this year?

Arsenal are also keeping a close eye on a Premier League winger, and now it’s just emerged that he’s ‘destined’ to leave his current club.

Arsenal target Anthony Gordon ‘destined’ to leave Newcastle United

Arsenal are showing a strong interest in Anthony Gordon ahead of the summer transfer window.

Gordon, who has netted 17 goals in all competitions for Newcastle United this season, has been on Arteta’s radar for some time.

Now, it’s being reported by The Athletic that the England international is ‘destined’ to leave the Magpies at the end of the season.

It’s understood that the Magpies will sanction Gordon’s sale if his £80m price tag is met, so it certainly won’t be a cheap deal to do for Arsenal.

If you could sign one of Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali or Tino Livramento, who are you taking right now and why?

Arteta and his chiefs will have to seriously consider whether the 25-year-old is worth that figure, or if there are better options out there.

AC Milan’s Rafael Leao has also been linked to the Gunners, and he could be available for between £43-52m.

Leao has a close relationship with Gabriel, so perhaps the Arsenal defender could assist in any forthcoming talks.
