Arsenal and Real Sociedad have quite a relationship when it comes to transfers, with the two teams completing a few deals already this summer.
The Gunners made contact with the Basque outfit last summer, completing a deal to sign Mikel Merino, bolstering their midfield ranks.
While that move went through, there were also discussions that began over the future of Martin Zubimendi.
That was the start of a year-long chase that finally concluded this summer, as Arsenal signed Zubimendi for a fee worth roughly £51 million.
That’s not the only deal conducted between Arsenal and Real Sociedad, though, as another move has been confirmed.

Zac Shuaib completes move from Arsenal to Real Sociedad as compensation is waived
While Arsenal have signed a few players from Real Sociedad, one star is making a move in the opposite direction.
According to BBC Sport, Zac Shuaib is set to make a switch from the Gunners to join Real Sociedad this summer.
The 18-year-old was one of several players released on the Arsenal retained list, bringing an end to his spell at the club.
The defensive midfielder came through the Hale End academy ranks, making appearances at under-18s level, as well as featuring on trial for Brighton’s academy.
Now, Shuaib is set for the move to La Liga, with his parents coming from the Basque region that Sociedad is part of.
It’s stated that Arsenal have waived any compensation involved in the move, allowing the youngster to join on a free transfer at the end of his contract and continuing the good relationship between the two teams.

Zac Shuaib’s Arsenal career before Real Sociedad move
Zac Shuaib’s Arsenal career has come to an end, with a new challenge now awaiting him in the form of that move to Real Sociedad.
The youngster had something of a stop-start career in the Hale End academy, with injuries becoming a real problem.

Shuaib made competitive appearances for the under-18s, but didn’t for the under-21s while at Arsenal.
The defensive midfielder did feature for the under-21s in last year’s pre-season, where he impressed, making the injuries all the more frustrating.
He has plenty of potential and could progress further, should he stay fit while at Real Sociedad.
