Arsenal are in the market for a top class wide player this summer transfer window.
Mikel Arteta has been exploring a deal to sign Anthony Gordon and Paris Saint-Germain’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has also been linked to the Emirates Stadium.
Ajax wonderkid Mika Godts has also emerged as an Arsenal target in recent days, with scouts jetting off to watch him last week.
Simple question: Would you rather be in Pep Guardiola or Mikel Arteta’s shoes right now?
Godts has netted 16 goals whilst laying on 13 assists for the Dutch giants this term and has been labelled the ‘next Eden Hazard’ due to his similar playing style.
Now, a fresh update has emerged on the 20-year-old sensation.

Ajax desperate to keep Mika Godts amid Arsenal interest
Speaking to SoccerNews, journalist Mounir Boualin reports that Ajax’s sporting director Jordi Cruyff is desperate to retain Godts’ signature this summer.
“Although he is already having a top season, Ajax hopes that Godts can show what he can do against the top clubs next season as well,” Boualin said.
“In that regard, he can and must become even more consistent. He can also make his mark even further in Europe.
If Endrick isn’t the most exciting signing Arsenal can make this summer, then tell us who is?
“Cruyff really does not want to let him go. He would only leave if there is an offer that cannot be refused.”
It would appear the door is open somewhat for Arsenal to sign Godts, but they would have to shell out substantial cash.
The Gunners are facing significant competition for his signature, too, with Barcelona and Manchester United circling.
Ultimately, if Arsenal are serious about progressing to the next level, they need to be winning these transfer battles.
Another wide option being considered by the Gunners is Rafael Leao, who has been rumoured to leave AC Milan.
