Arsenal are still feeling the pain that Paris Saint-Germain inflicted on them.
The Gunners’ dream of reaching the Champions League final was crushed by Luis Enrique’s side, who won the tie 3-1 on aggregate.
An argument can be made that Arsenal were the better side against PSG, especially in the second leg, but that won’t change the fact that they have been knocked out of the competition.
Arsenal’s focus now has to be on the summer transfer window to strengthen their squad, and a PSG player who played against them is said to be a target.
Arsenal eye move for PSG striker Goncalo Ramos
It is no secret that Arsenal need a new striker this summer.
The Gunners’ woes in attack have been evident for everyone to see, and Andrea Berta knows very well that a new number nine is a necessity.
The new Arsenal sporting director has been exploring multiple options ahead of the summer transfer window, and a new name has now come out of the rumour mill.
CaughtOffside claim that Arsenal are eyeing a move to sign Goncalo Ramos from PSG this summer.
The Portuguese striker initially joined the Parisians on loan, but that deal was made permanent for an eye-watering £70 million (Goal).
The report claims that, along with Arsenal, clubs like Manchester United, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Napoli and Juventus are all interested in Ramos.
Enrique would still like to keep the striker, but if the right offer arrives, PSG’s decision-makers are ready to cash in on him.

Goncalo Ramos’ stats at PSG compared to Arsenal striker targets
Arsenal have been linked with over half a dozen strikers in recent months.
Alexander Isak is the striker everyone wants, but rival clubs think Viktor Gyokeres will be the one moving to Arsenal this summer. Benjamin Sesko is another one who has been linked.
All of the above options feel more attractive than Ramos, but the Portugal international’s numbers are surprisingly good since he joined PSG, even though he is not a regular starter.
Here’s a look at how his numbers fare against some of Arsenal’s other striker targets in the same period.
| Games | Goals | Assists | Minutes per goal or assist | |
| Goncalo Ramos | 77 | 29 | 8 | 91.24 |
| Alexander Isak | 107 | 62 | 11 | 106.8 |
| Benjamin Sesko | 85 | 39 | 8 | 111.5 |
| Viktor Gyokeres | 99 | 95 | 27 | 66.5 |
Ramos may not be as bad as many would think for Arsenal, but Gyokeres is clearly the striker who is levels above everyone else on the list.
That’s probably why Berta is keen to sign him, and the fact that Gyokeres prefers a move to Arsenal is excellent news as well.
If it were up to us, we’d take Gyokeres over Ramos all day long!
