Andrea Berta is making a statement as Arsenal are closing in on a triple swoop in the transfer market.
Noni Madueke, Viktor Gyokeres and Cristhian Mosquera are set to be unveiled in North London in the coming days.
The trio will offer Mikel Arteta fresh options in attack and defence, arriving to bolster the depth and quality in the Arsenal squad.
Though Madueke will offer competition and Gyokeres will finally hand Arteta a top striker, it’s the deal for Mosquera that’s being sung about right now.

Andrea Berta praised for Cristhian Mosquera transfer
Valencia did not want to sell Mosquera, who was offered a new contract in a bid to stay at the Mestalla.
Unfortunately for the Spanish club, Arsenal worked too skilfully to agree terms with Mosquera, whose future is now set to be in the Premier League.
Interestingly, Berta wanted to sign the 21-year-old at Atletico Madrid but was priced out; however, the Italian ensured he got the last laugh.
Mosquera has one year remaining on his current deal at Valencia, giving Arsenal’s sporting director the perfect market opportunity.
Speaking on the Sky Sports News Transfer Talk podcast, reporter Dharmesh Sheth detailed the impressive work that Berta has done behind the scenes to make the transfer happen.
“Valencia can’t be in a position where, in five months time, he could join Arsenal for no money at all,” Sheth said.
“I think Arsenal probably went into that in negotiations and just said, look, we do want to bring him in, but it’s not like we have to bring him in because we are so light in that position.
“They’re not, they just want to strengthen in that position, and that’s a kind of a position of strength Arsenal find themselves in.
“So they could just say, actually, don’t worry, Valencia, you don’t want to agree to this deal. We don’t want to pay how much you want. You want £25million, we’re not going to go near that. We’ll just wait until January because then we can just speak to him anyway. And we’ll just say, join us in the summer.
“Just see out the rest of the season in Valencia. But you’ll come to Arsenal next summer. Valencia are like, no, let’s do a deal.”
Berta knew what he could work with to secure Mosquera for a cut-price, something that Sheth and many others are impressed by.
“So they played a blinder there as well,” the Sky Sports reporter concluded, celebrating the sporting director’s tactics.
Arsenal’s transfer work is a breath of fresh air
Arsenal fans are in awe of Berta’s work, and they’re not the only ones.
Lauded as a ‘colossus’ by talent scout Antonio Mango back in 2023, the Spaniard has all the tools to push William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes in N5.
The capture of Mosquera could turn out to be exceptional for Arsenal, and it’s all thanks to Berta.
It’s unheard of for Arsenal to be so proactive in the transfer market, with the potential there for as many as six new signings to join Arteta’s squad before pre-season really kicks off.
Berta hasn’t wasted any time getting Arteta’s squad back up to scratch, not by throwing money at clubs, but by working smartly to ensure good business is upheld.
