Arsenal’s struggles at the top end of the pitch have not gone away despite their investment in the summer.
The Gunners spent big money on the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke in attack, and although all three players have shown flashes of brilliance, none of them has been consistent.

Now, El Desmarque have revealed that Arsenal are the ‘main favourites’ to sign Alvarez in the summer transfer window.
It has been claimed that the Gunners want to strengthen their attack again because of Gyokeres’ inconsistent performances up top.
Barcelona have also been mentioned as a potential destination, but their financial situation complicates any deal. PSG are another club interested, but Alvarez has already rejected them in the past.
That is good news for Arsenal.

Everyone believes Arsenal’s biggest problem right now is Gyokeres and the striker position.
The Swede clearly hasn’t scored enough goals, so most people believe that signing a more prolific striker would solve the problem.
However, Arsenal’s real issue is chance creation. Their two attacking midfielders, Martin Odegaard and Eberechi Eze, have both struggled recently and don’t look anywhere near their usual level.
Arsenal can solve that issue by signing Alvarez, who has the ability to play just behind the striker. With Gyokeres also capable of dropping deep and linking play up, the two forwards could interchange positions and wreak havoc.
That is why signing Alvarez could be a game-changer for Arsenal this summer.
