Arsenal are determined to strengthen their options on the left side of attack this summer.
Morgan Rogers remains the priority target, with Bradley Barcola and Christos Tzolis also under consideration as Arsenal weigh up both immediate impact and value across the position.
But one deal in that same area has been quietly progressing in the background for months.
🤔 PICK ONE: Would you rather Arsenal signed Bradley Barcola or Morgan Rogers this summer?
Jeremy Monga has agreed personal terms with Arsenal, choosing the Gunners over other clubs including Manchester City.
Arsenal’s opening bid was rejected, and talks with Leicester have since stalled over the fee.
New update emerges over where things stand with Jeremy Monga
Speaking on Inside Arsenal, Charles Watts explained the situation. “At the moment, those talks are continuing with Leicester City to sign the talented left winger, 16 years old. And at the moment, an agreement hasn’t been reached,” he said.
“I do expect that that will happen at some point. It’s just a case of the two clubs coming together and agreeing a package that I suppose Leicester feel is worthwhile.”
The hold-up is due to Leicester wanting it to go to a tribunal.
“We know Leicester would be probably willing to allow this to go to a tribunal because of the money they think they would be able to get from the tribunal fee that would be set,” Watts cleared up. “So they don’t believe they’re under great pressure to sell.

“Arsenal would prefer to get a deal done without it going to tribunal. I would imagine just to make life easier, which I expect will eventually happen.”
What Arsenal’s plan for Jeremy Monga looks like
Monga has already shown he is ready for first-team football, making his Premier League debut at just 15 years old.
But at Arsenal, he is likely to come in as a development signing rather than an immediate first-team option.
The expectation is that he will train under Mikel Arteta with the senior squad, ideally getting a proper look during pre-season if the deal is completed in time.
From there, Arsenal will likely look for a suitable loan to continue his development, though they will want to avoid repeating the mistakes made with Ethan Nwaneri, whose loan spell at Marseille did not work out as hoped.
Monga is also close friends with Max Dowman, having played alongside him for England at youth level.

If the deal goes through, Arsenal will have the three youngest players in Premier League history on their books at once — Dowman, Nwaneri and Monga.
Andrea Berta has been working hard to bring in some of the most exciting young talent, with the Quintero twins and Victor Ozhianvuna already agreeing to join the Gunners.
Arsenal are also in talks for Georgian wonderkid Andria Bartishvili.
