Arsenal supporters are expecting to welcome Deadline Day signing Neto to the club very soon.

Arsenal are currently closing in on a deal to sign Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto.

Aaron Ramsdale is about to join Southampton, leaving Mikel Arteta in need of a replacement for the England international.

Arsenal have agreed to sign Neto. The 35-year-old will join the North London club to provide cover for David Raya, having been the No. 1 at the Vitality Stadium in recent seasons.

Details of Arsenal’s deal for Neto have shown that they are set to sign the veteran shot-stopper on a season-long loan, covering his full wages. The Gunners will have an option to sign him permanently next year, but no obligation to do so.

Neto has now arrived at Arsenal, ready to undergo a medical and complete the final processes needed to confirm his transfer.

Arsenal fans give verdict on Neto signing

With this deal looking all but done, many Arsenal fans on X have shared their thoughts on the move.

One said: “Edu masterclass.”

Another stated: “Neto to Arsenal is decent but Arsenal have to learn next time. Espanyol is smart and asked for a lot more for Joan Garcia than they would before.”

Another noted: “Definitely better than Garcia, don’t really know how people can be mad at this but it has to come with an attacker.”

One added: “Nobody would offer €20m for Garcia. Arsenal did. It did not work. We signed Neto. I’m good.”

Arsenal still in goalkeeper market

Despite having Neto in place, Arsenal are looking to add another goalkeeper today.

This new arrival would become the third choice option at the Emirates Stadium.

Perhaps the most likely candidate to take up this vacancy is Dan Bentley. The Wolves ace has been heavily linked with the club previously.

Arsenal had a bid for Bentley rejected earlier this summer, but could return to the negotiation table for him now.

Arsenal have been in talks with Wolves recently.
