Andrea Berta has identified one potential transfer target for Arsenal in the winter market.
Mikel Arteta is open to making changes in January, as the Arsenal squad look to get over the line and deliver a Premier League title for the first time since 2004.
Exits are to be expected, with Ethan Nwaneri leaving on loan being a real possibility.
On the incomings front, it’s clear where Arsenal need to strengthen, one position being in central midfield.
It therefore comes as good news to learn that Berta has been making enquiries for one of the most sought-after midfielders in South America.

Arsenal have made contact with Corinthians about Breno Bidon transfer
During the summer transfer window, Arsenal enquired about Breno Bidon of Corinthians, and now, the Gunners have been in touch again.
Arsenal have enquired about a central midfielder, what other positions need strengthening in January?
That’s the understanding of journalist Samir Carvalho, who took to his YouTube channel to share the latest on Bidon’s transfer status.
“Now Arsenal’s name comes up. Arsenal are one of the clubs that recently contacted Corinthians,” Carvalho said.
Arsenal are understood to be one of three clubs to have approached the Brazilian club for Bidon, but Carvalho made it clear that no club has submitted a ‘formal offer’.
The 20-year-old midfielder has been a force to be reckoned with at Corinthians since his breakthrough, but not every player would be delighted by his arrival.
Gabriel Magalhaes might feel conflicted if Arsenal sign Bidon
Adding a highly-rated talent with an incredibly high ceiling to the Arsenal squad is never a bad thing, unless of course it impacts the club of your heart.
That’s the situation that Gabriel Magalhaes could find himself in, as Bidon represents Corinthians, the Brazilian’s favourite team.
This is what Breno Bidon can do! 🔥 Which current Arsenal player does he remind you of?
Gabriel and Gabriel Martinelli are huge Corinthians fans, so much so that the defender actually dreams of playing for the Brazilian club in the future.
That being said, Gabriel would equally enthuse about Arsenal signing Bidon, whom he recently called a ‘genius’ in the comments of an Instagram post.
The 20-year-old already has Gabriel’s approval at Arsenal, but will he gain Arteta’s and Berta’s enough to make the move to the Emirates?
