Arsenal are still on the hunt for a new striker with the January transfer window approaching.
Arsenal were linked with a host of strikers over the course of the recent summer transfer window, but Mikel Arteta was ultimately unable to add a new goalscorer to his ranks.
Kai Havertz has been the first choice to lead the line for the Gunners this season, whilst Gabriel Jesus wowed Arsenal fans by returning to form in style with a spectacular hat-trick against Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening.
However, the fact remains that Arsenal are still in need of a striker, and bringing such a player to the Emirates Stadium ought to be Arteta’s top priority this winter.

Arsenal still keen on Benjamin Sesko transfer
Arsenal tried to sign Benjamin Sesko in the summer.
It is obvious what Arteta sees in the Slovenian forward. The 21-year-old is a clinical finisher, physically dominant, and offers pace and power up front.
Sesko rejected a move to Arsenal in the summer, but it would seem the the North London outfit have not given up on securing his signature.
As per the Daily Mail: “Benjamin Sesko remains of concrete interest to the Gunners, too. Arsenal held talks with regards to a move for the Red Bull Leipzig forward over the summer.
“Representatives of the striker, who scored 28 goals for club and country last season, have been invited to the Emirates on numerous occasions so relations in that aspect are healthy.
“But by all accounts the prospect of playing second fiddle to Havertz raised concerns for Sesko, who signed a new deal with Leipzig.”
How Mikel Arteta can convince Sesko to sign for Arsenal
Of course, Sesko would not want to make the switch to Arsenal only to serve as a back up to Havertz. On top of that, if Jesus can maintain his newfound confidence, then the Brazilian will also be in contention for a regular starting berth.
However, competition for places should not put a top player off, and Arteta can convince Sesko that he will be given a fair opportunity to establish himself as the first choice pick.
Sesko has been in fine form this season, having netted 10 times in 22 outings for RB Leipzig. He should back himself to make the grade at Arsenal.
Clearly, the club are trying to ingratiate themselves with Sesko’s agents in an effort to the persuade the player that the Emirates Stadium is the ideal destination for him.
