Bukayo Saka has left a massive void to fill at Arsenal after suffering a significant hamstring injury.
The Gunners have passed on the idea of bringing in a like-for-like backup for the Englishman for a few years now, and that decision has now backfired.
Saka is ruled out for many weeks now after hurting his hamstring in the first half of the game against Crystal Palace. He is not expected to be back until February.
Arsenal fans are hoping that Mikel Arteta will sign a new winger in the winter transfer window, and Mohammed Kudus is being urged by some supporters.
But, the West Ham star will be extremely expensive.
West Ham set Mohammed Kudus asking price after Arsenal links
Saka is Arsenal’s best player, and not bringing in a top-class backup for him is a big mistake.
Arteta has to find solutions now, and the fact that Raheem Sterling is out injured too makes things all the more difficult for the Arsenal manager.
The Gunners have been linked with several names in recent times. Arsenal Insider exclusively revealed that Mohammed Kudus is a player Arsenal really like.
The Ghana international would be a terrific signing in January, but West Ham have no interest in letting him leave in the winter window.
So, the Hammers have set a humongous price tag to fend off clubs interested in him.
That’s according to GiveMeSport, who reveal that Arsenal will have to pay a fee close to £100 million if they want to sign Kudus in the January transfer window.
West Ham did the same thing when Arsenal expressed their interest in signing Declan Rice in 2023. It worked then, which is probably why they are doing it again now.

Should Arsenal spend £100m on Mohammed Kudus in January?
The simple answer is no!
We love Kudus – we think he would be an incredible signing for the Gunners. However, when everyone is fit, we think the Ghana international is not guaranteed to start.
Spending £100 million on someone like that makes no sense at all, even though he would be a fantastic replacement for Saka until he returns from his injury.
We just can’t see a world in which Arsenal will pay anything close to £100 million for Kudus in January. We don’t even think they’ll spend half of that figure on anyone in the winter window.
Kudus does have a release clause in his contract that has been set at £85 million. However, that only becomes active in the summer.
