Arsenal could cross paths with Edu Gaspar once again as contact has been made over a transfer from one of the sporting director’s new clubs.
It comes as the Gunners are preparing their plans for the summer transfer window, with some very clear ideas in mind.
Mikel Arteta is expected to be backed by some big deals as Arsenal look to sign a new centre-forward, while wingers and midfielders are also on the cards.
Those plans are currently being drafted without a permanent sporting director, with Edu resigning from Arsenal late in 2024.
Current interim Jason Ayto is heading up the strategy, while a decision is still being made on the next appointment.
While things continue to run in the background, Edu may well have already crossed paths with Arsenal yet again.

Arsenal make contact with Olympiacos for Charalampos Kostoulas and Christos Mouzakitis
With Arsenal gearing up for the summer transfer window, some plans are already being put into place for which options will be pursued.
While starting players who will impact the team right away are on the cards, the Gunners have a keen eye over which youngsters can be options for the future.
According to Birmingham World, Arsenal have already made contact with Greek outfit Olympiacos for youngsters Charalampos Kostoulas and Christos Mouzakitis.
The 17-and-18-year-old have become regular starters for the side, featuring in the Europa League several times this season.
While the Gunners have made an initial approach, they are joined by Aston Villa in doing so, while the report claims that Manchester United and Brentford have recently sent scouts on a trip to watch the pair.
It remains to be seen whether a deal can be done, though the move will likely fall under the remit of Edu Gaspar.
The ex-Arsenal sporting director is set to be part of Evangelos Marinakis’ group of clubs, which includes Nottingham Forest and Olympiacos.
With the talented young duo now within his system, it is unclear whether he will sanction a move.
