Arsenal are seemingly ramping up their efforts to land a wide player this summer as reports of an opening “offer” for Noni Madueke have been revealed.
The Gunners have been prowling the market for another winger as Mikel Arteta needs some more firepower in his frontline.
So far, Arsenal have largely come close to finishing deals for other areas in the squad, as Andrea Berta looks to solve issues surrounding quality in depth.
Beyond that, there is the glaring problem with scoring goals, as fans are being made to wait for the marquee signings of a winger and a striker.
Now, following the latest moves, it seems as though Berta has ramped up efforts for a winger, looking at Noni Madueke as one such option.

Arsenal make opening offer for Noni Madueke deal from Chelsea
Arsenal have shown interest in Noni Madueke as an option from rivals Chelsea, given their need to move players on.
The Blues have been working hard to land some forwards of their own, with Jamie Gittens set to snub the Gunners to join them instead.
That could pave the way for Madueke to join Arsenal as a result, with the North London outfit moving quickly to do so.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Arsenal have submitted a first offer for Madueke to Chelsea, with talks kicking off.
It’s unclear exactly how concrete the offer is and how much it could be, while there is a decision to be made by Chelsea and the player himself.
The 23-year-old was a regular for Chelsea last season and received an England call-up.
He is capable of playing on either wing and could be a valuable player for Mikel Arteta as a result.
If Madueke does join, he could follow Kepa Arrizabalaga from Stamford Bridge to the Emirates Stadium as just the latest in a long line of transfers from Chelsea to Arsenal.

Andrea Berta’s masterplan is clear with the latest Arsenal transfer move
While there may be questions over Arsenal’s approach for Madueke, it’s clear that Berta is starting another cycle in his masterplan.
The sporting director is known for juggling many deals at once, often looking to drive the hardest bargain possible by negotiating so many.
That has been the case at centre-forward in particular, as Arsenal are in talks for Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres, while they hold interest in Hugo Ekitike and Ollie Watkins.
That hasn’t been the case for the wide areas yet, as Arsenal hold interest in Rodrygo of Real Madrid, along with a few other options, but talks are yet to get underway.
As Madueke is just one option being assessed, the Gunners may be on their way towards several different discussions before landing their main winger choice, whoever that may be.
